The first two items of discussion were discussed over email between CSM 2024 and this meeting, and unanimously passed.

SIG Leadership

Vice President Mike Mullaney emailed an update on SIG Leadership.

V-1 (Mullaney)

That Cassidy Papa is appointed as the Vice Chair of the College & Professional Sports SIG, Megan Graham is appointed Chair of the Performance Enhancement SIG, and Owen Ruion is appointed Vice Chair of the Performance Enhancement SIG.

CSM Programming 

Vice President Mike Mullaney emailed an update on the CSM Programming Committee.

That the CSM Programming Committee Policy is accepted and implemented in preparation for CSM 2025.

V-3 (Mullaney)

That the CSM Programming Review Committee is appointed, including: Brandon Schmitt (non-voting), Craig Garrison (non-voting), Mike Mullaney (non-voting), Mike Reinold (non-voting), Mike Reiman, Barb Hoogenboom, Mike Ainbinder, George Davies, Lane Bailey, Jennifer Lucarevic, Rachel Myers, Chris Juneau, Abbey Misenheimer, and Tak Fukunaga.

During the Zoom Meeting on March 19, 2024, AASPT President Mike Reinold, who chaired the meeting, called the meeting to order at 7:38 pm E.T. and AASPT Secretary Katie Lucas confirmed that a quorum was present.

Meeting Minutes

Secretary Katie Lucas provided an update on the meeting minutes.

That the meeting minutes of the February 6, 2024 will be approved and posted on the AASPT website.

Treasurer Dues Increase Recommendations

Treasurer Lenny Macrina provided an update on the budget. The Finance Committee provided a recommendation for dues increases for a 2024 vote to $90 for Physical Therapists, $60 for Physical Therapy Assistants, $30 for Students, $35 Resident, and  $35 Life and Retired members.

To accept the finance committee’s updated dues recommendations and to bring 
this proposal to the membership for vote to $90 for Physical Therapists, $60 for 
PTA, $30 for Students, $35 Resident, and  $35 Life and Retired members.

Bylaws

President Mike Reinold provided the updated bylaws draft that was sent by Parliamentarian Barney Poole, which provided a follow-up to the bylaws amendments proposed during the business meeting. The Executive Committee will review and vote next meeting on presenting the bylaws to the membership.

Finance AASPT Dues Policy

Treasurer Lenny Macrina presented the AASPT Dues Policy Draft that was presented to the Executive Committee by the Policies and Procedures Task Force.

To accept the due policies draft, presented to the Executive Committee by the Policies and Procedures Task Force, that helps determine how the dues can be modified in the future if removed from the bylaws.

Treasurer Report 

Treasurer Lenny Macrina provided an update on the budget and monthly reports, including an update on the checking account, emergency account, and long-term investment account. 

Marketing/Communication Update

Stu Kushner from Mission Control provided an update on the upcoming emails to members, the annual calendar, the website update, and AASPT communications. 

SIG Leadership

Vice President Mike Mullaney emailed an update on the SIG Leadership.

V7 (Macrina)

That Courtney Bohne is appointed as the Vice Chair of the Knee SIG.

Committee Actions

President Mike Reinold and Vice President Mike Mullaney provided an update on the Committee Meeting and action items from the meeting. To work on updating courses with the Education and Specialization Committees.

Traveling Fellowship

Representative-at-Large Rob Manske reported the Traveling Fellows have been selected, including Ryan Tedrick, Dustin Baldwin, and Brian Ishola.

Virtual Meeting

Representative-at-Large Rob Manske presented an update from the Virtual Meeting Committee, including “What they didn’t teach you in PT school,” including the topics of ACL, Tendon, and Pain.

CSM Expenses

Vice President Mike Mullaney provided an update on the CSM Reimbursement.

That we reimburse Brandon Schmitt’s registration fee for CSM 2023.
